Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced it will launch services from Luton airport to Moscow’s Vnukovo International airport and Pulkovo airport in St Petersburg from 1 October.
Both flights will be operated daily by the Hungarian carrier’s UK subsidiary. It will be the only British airline flying the St Petersburg route.
Wizz Air is now the largest carrier at Luton airport, operating more than 8.5 million seats on 61 routes. With the addition of the Russian flights, the airline now offers 100 destinations in 28 countries from ten UK airports.
